Major Scales
Breaking away from the traditional method of scale fingerings is the topic. The 3 note per string method allows for a more smooth flowing feel, closer to that of a horn player. These patterns will also provide you with the ability to make use of the entire neck. The scales presented on the accompanying printout are in the key of āCā. The examples discussed here should be played in half steps ascending and descending to assure familiarity in all keys.
